Les adresses écolo du 14ème arrondissement

Eco-friendly addresses in the 14th arrondissement

The Bonsaï blog wishes you a very happy new year 2021, full of love and success. And especially without plastic 😉

See you today in the 14th arrondissement of Paris for a new section of green addresses! On the program, rescue of toys and capillary serenity...

1- Replayed , 80 avenue du Maine, 75014

The Rejoué shop is a place dedicated to second-hand items. While 40 tonnes of toys are thrown away each year, the equivalent of 1.27 toys per second, this association has decided to commit to avoiding this waste. The idea is to collect the toys, clean them, and put them back on sale to increase their lifespan. Indeed, the toys are used on average 6 months before being thrown away!

The idea came from Claire Tournefier-Droual in 2012, when she had just become a mother. She created Rejoué because she realized that there was no place until then where it was possible to give new life to toys. This system therefore makes it possible to reduce the purchase of toys, which at the same time avoids overexploiting the natural resources necessary for their manufacture. It also makes it possible to offer toys at more affordable prices, while working towards reintegration.

In 2016, Rejoué collected 33 tons of toys, resulting in the sale of 61,142 toys, and supported 88 people in their professional reintegration.

So if you have children, little nephews or other, you will know where to go to make them happy without harming the environment!
